William Morris Designs

A selection of Fine Art Prints from William Morris (1834-1896).  Morris was an English artist, textile furniture designer, poet, novelist, publisher and activist.  He is acknowledged as the leader of the British Arts and Crafts movement of the second half of the nineteenth century. He is best known for his chintzes, wall-paper and tapestry designs. His patterns, based on flora and fauna are still popular today and can be seen reproduced on many everyday objects.

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know
to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
